About This Special Issue
The search for solutions for environmental (removal of pollutants such as toxic and radioactive metal ions, pharmaceuticals and pollutant gases) and biomedical problems (drug delivery systems) led to an increase in the development of adsorbents materials due to their high efficiency. The variety of materials that may have application in those fields had a great increase in the last years and include materials with a vast variety of chemical composition and structure such as metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs), activated carbons, zeolites and titanosilicates.
The Special Issues aims to show original research work, short communications or comprehensive review papers on the development of materials (syntheses and characterization) with emphasis on its environmental and drug delivery systems applications.
